Bhikkhu Sadhana Sthal Meditation Center was established with the aim of providing support to serious Vipassana meditators who wish to meditate deeply for a long time. Vipassana meditation ultimately routes to Gautama the Buddha, who rediscovered this ancient technique 25 centuries back and used for his own liberation and then, with infinite volition, distributed to others throughout his life. Since the Buddha's time, the technique was preserved in pristine purity by a very small number of monks in Burma in the form of chain of Vipassana masters.

About Vipassana
Vipassana means to see things as they really are; not as they appear to be. It has three main parts: Sheela, Samadhi, Panna (precepts, concentration, self experienced wisdom). In sheela, one practices to abstain from all gross misconducts which are:
- TO ABSTAIN FROM KILLING ANY BEING
- TO ABSTAIN FROM STEALING
- TO ABSTAIN FROM ALL SEXUAL ACTIVITIES
- TO ABSTAIN FROM TELLING LIES
- TO ABSTAIN FROM ALL INTOXICANTS
Sheela is the foundation of the technique. It makes mind ready for the further steps in Vipassana. During the course, one has to observe these five precepts sincerely. To make this easier, one has to observe noble silence. ie. One does not communicate with his/her fellow meditators with voice or any body language.
